The Department of the Lithuanian Language of the Faculty of Philology at Vilnius University and the Research Centre of Standard Language at the Institute of the Lithuanian Language invite you to participate in The 31st Jonas Jablonskis’ conference “Language as a system and process”. The conference will take place at Vilnius University, Lithuania, on October 1–2, 2026.
CONFERENCE LANGUAGES: English, Lithuanian.
CONFERENCE TOPICS:

- Sociolinguistics

Submissions are invited for the one the following:
- full paper presentations: 30 minutes (20 minutes + 10 minutes for questions);

- Deadline for the proposals of workshops: 5 April 2026.
- Deadline for the submission of abstracts: 15 May 2026.
- Notification of acceptance: 15 June 2026.
- Early-bird registration: 15 August 2026.
- Closing registration date: 15 September 2026.

REGISTRATION AND FEES:
- Regular registration for presenters: 120 euros.
- Early-bird registration for presenters: 110 euros.
- Doctoral / MA students: 100 euros.
- Early-bird registration for doctoral / MA students: 90 euros.
- Non-presenting participants who wish to obtain a certificate: 10 euros.
COVID-19 INFORMATION: The conference is scheduled live, but the organizers reserve the right to move it online as the pandemic changes. The fee for a remote conference would be lower.
